Grease Trap / Interceptor Cleaning

Schedule a Grease Trap / Interceptor Cleaning

Our grease trap and interceptor cleaning process is designed to be thorough, efficient, and environmentally responsible. It begins with an initial assessment by our trained sales representatives, who evaluate the specific needs of your trap to determine the best cleaning approach.

Once the assessment is complete, we schedule a cleaning service at a time that minimizes disruption to your operations. Then, our team arrives with specialized equipment and vehicles equipped for the job. During the first cleaning, we measure the trap in the presence of the customer to determine its size accurately. This step is crucial for understanding the capacity and specific needs of the system. We use powerful suction and high-pressure water jets to remove grease buildup, food particles, and other debris from the grease trap or interceptor.

After the cleaning is complete, we properly dispose of the collected waste at our highly developed processing facility (Kite Technology), ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. We also provide a manifest on the cleaning performed, including the amount of waste removed and any recommendations for ongoing maintenance proving that you are in compliance. Our goal is to keep your systems operating efficiently, prevent costly blockages, and help you maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

Why is it important to clean the grease trap/interceptor?

For maintaining compliance with municipalities

Cleaning grease traps is essential for maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, as the primary objective is to prevent harmful grease buildup that can lead to costly violations and sanitary sewer overflows.

Grease traps function effectively

Regular cleaning ensures that grease traps function effectively, preventing blockages and overflow that could contaminate wastewater systems and the environment.

Protecting public health

Additionally, properly maintained grease traps contribute to better sanitation in food establishments, protecting public health.

Safer environment

By adhering to service mandates, businesses not only comply with state and local regulations, but also retain a cleaner and safer environment; not only for their operations, but for the planet too!

What do we do with it?

At Kite Technology, our own innovative facility, we process the material collected from grease traps and interceptors. This involves separating the various components, such as fats, oils, and solids, using advanced technology. The recovered fats and oils are converted into valuable resources, such as clean energy or feedstock for further processing, while solid waste is disposed of responsibly in accordance with environmental regulations. By processing this material in-house, we ensure a sustainable approach that reduces environmental impact and supports our commitment to a circular economy.
